Position profile
As a VAT Specialist, you will be a trusted advisor to the business on all aspects of corporate tax. You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:
- Provide advice and guidance on VAT and other corporate tax matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Manage indirect tax compliance processes, including VAT returns, Intrastat reporting, and customs declarations
- Partnering with business areas on corporate tax matters, providing requisite advice and guidance
- Review and update indirect tax policies and procedures, ensuring they are in line with current legislation and best practice
- Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as HMRC and tax advisors, to ensure the business is up to date with changes to regulation
- Provide training and support to staff across the business on corporate tax including updates and changes to regulation
Person profile
- CTA or equivalent tax qualification (those working towards this will be considered)
- 3+ years experience of similar role in corporate/indirect tax
- A track record of partnering with stakeholders on matters of corporate tax (in practice or industry)
- Advanced user of MS Excel
