Trainee Law Accountant (training provided)

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be supporting our client for an exciting opportunity to join their office in Perth as a Trainee Law Accountant, on a full-time permanent basis.

Our client is a well-established Law Accountancy based in Perth, who has grown rapidly in client base and now looking to expand the team. My client is looking for ideally someone looking to kick-start their career, as full training is provided and paid for by my client for the successful candidate, a truly exciting opportunity.  This role is 35 hours per week with a 2.30pm finish on a Friday, flexibility on start/finish times can be amended to suit candidate. With this being a Trainee role, the candidate is required to be fully office-based in Perth whilst training continues, so the Senior team can provide hands-on support and training. With an attractive salary of £24,000 per year to begin, which will increase to £32,000 on completion of Training.

Background and Experience:

  • Ideally degree educated in Accountancy/Finance, Business Admin/Administration or a similar related field is advantageous but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, such as Word and Outlook
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous experience working to deadlines, with a keen eye for detail
  • Organisational and excellent timekeeping skills
  • Must have discretion and high level of professionalism as sensitive legal and financial documents will be being handled
