Our client is a private equity backed upstream E&P business with an ambitious growth plan. We are supporting them to source a Lead Asset Accountant to provide day-to-day support to the finance function & JV support on a portfolio of operated & non-operated assets

 

In this role you will be part of a small team responsible for evaluating and executing the company’s strategy. The position provides broad exposure to corporate strategy related workstreams including analysing and prioritizing key strategic workstreams, co-ordination of materials for the board and executive leadership team, ensuring delivery of key corporate milestones and special projects.

 

Based in London, the role will work closely with the Head of Strategy Execution and Risk and will also supports other members of the Executive Leadership Team when required.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategy analysis, peer benchmarking etc.

• Utilise corporate model to review a range of strategic growth alternatives (both organic and inorganic) to assess organizational and financial implications

• Coordinate presentations – executive summaries, corporate presentations, Board materials

• Assist with any special projects e.g. supporting M&A related work

• Support senior executives on ad-hoc projects, analysis and presentations

• Strong analytical skills essential

• Able to take complex problems and succinctly present conclusions with supporting data/analysis

• Team player who is also comfortable working independently

• Strong communicator - can use language effectively (verbal or written) to gather information and facilitate the exchange of ideas

• Creative thinker – able to consider range of solutions

• Organised and methodical approach to work with an eye for detail

• Significant and proven relevant experience – ideally in a finance/strategy role within an E&P business is essential.
