Central to the Planning and Economics team and supporting in delivering team objectives, this role will have overview of corporate related workstreams. Based in the London office, the role will work closely with the Head of Planning and Economics and will also support other executives when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the corporate financial model to perform consolidated analysis of the business, working closely with a variety of departments across the business
- Support Plan Cycle, Budget and forecast processes with the extended team
- Prepare detailed analysis, communicating movements and results
- Provide economic evaluations for various projects, from incremental wells up to M&A deals
- Assist with any special projects e.g., improvement initiatives, financing valuations, debt-to equity analysis, tax optimization, hedging analysis etc
- Support senior executives on ad-hoc projects, analysis and presentations
Background and Experience
- Proven corporate modelling experience essential
- Strong to advanced Excel and PPT skills essential
- Solving complex problems using analysis skills and interpreting models
- A good understanding of the E&P upstream Value Chain and profitability of an E&P Company advantageous
- Team player and comfortable working independently
- Excellent communicator – can use language effectively (verbal or written) to gather information and facilitate the exchange of ideas
- Creative thinker – ability to look outside the box and develop strategies to overcome issues
- Organised and methodical approach to work with an eye for detail
- Degree level qualification
