Hutcheon Mearns are supporting an upstream operator to source a Senior Accountant to join their high performing finance team. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your role will be varied and involve the following key responsibilities:
- Co-ordination of month end close process
- Preparation of group monthly management accounts appropriate analysis
- Review of monthly key account reconciliations and journals
- Review and support the preparation of joint venture billings
- Review and support credit control and sales invoicing process
- Provide input to the Monthly Board Pack
- Cash management and involvement in covenant calculations
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and reforecasts of the group
- Assist with tasks associated with the annual financial and joint venture accounting audits
- Review work of and support Assistant Accountant
- Establishes and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and others in the business to ensure credibility of the Finance group
- Assist with ad-hoc project work
To be considered you will be a team player, ideally with an accountancy qualification and experience in the E&P sector.
