Hutcheon Mearns are pleased to be supporting a long-established manufacturer in Perth to recruit a new member of the finance team. Covering Sales Ledger and Credit Control and assisting colleagues during busy times as required. Strong credit control is a key element of a healthy cash flow. The main duties will be:

  • Reviewing and processing account applications, taking references where necessary.
  • Undertaking credit checks on new and existing customers.
  • Releasing credit customer orders for production or despatch.
  • Keeping in contact with customers to notify outstanding amounts and manage collection
  • Working with the sales department to recover overdue debt.
  • Preparing a weekly aged debt report, review, and chasing up as appropriate

Candidates will be considered who can demonstrate

  • Previous sales ledger / credit control experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work accurately to deadlines.
  • Good at working as part of a team.
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office.
