Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by a leading exploration and production business to recruit an experienced finance professional into the role of Revenue Accountant. With a hybrid working model split between home and a modern office environment, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
- Provide support to financial and management reporting, budget and business planning
- Assist in the development of reporting systems driving automation wherever possible
- Support business strategy and deliver objectives, performance and growth
- Ensure accurate accounting and reporting to company’s hydrocarbon revenue, stocks and over/underlift across all operated and non-operated assets
- Ensure all invoices prepared and issued correctly
- Ensure account reconciliations and analyses provide appropriate control environment and reporting to management
- Manage and prepare monthly accounting and reporting ensuring adherence to accounting policies
- Assist in the development of the business intelligence reporting systems driving automation wherever possible
- Input to annual budget and plan process with the business and functions
- Ensure good relationship with external stakeholders
- Experience of revenue and production accounting within an upstream environment is essential
