Hutcheon Mearns are supporting a successful, Private Equity backed company operating in the oil and gas sector to source a Regional Finance Manager on a short term basis. This is a key finance role within this organisation which has international operations.
Your remit will be broad ranging and see you taking responsibility for the following aspects of the finance function for the region:
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Business Performance – delivery of annual plan, cost control, improvement of processes procedures, operations and profitability
- Cash Management
- Internal Reporting - timely financial statements including primary financials of P+L/BS & CF, all management reports, business KPIs and financial metrics, all variance analyses
- External Reporting – audit and statutory accounting
- Process, Procedures and Controls
- Fixed Asset/Inventory Accounting:
- Legal Entity and Tax
- Banking and AP Process
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar operational finance position
- Strong financial understanding, analytical skills and experience
- Strong knowledge of current GAAP principles, including financial statement preparation
- Good problem-solving skills
- Highest level of integrity
- Able to exercise independent judgement and make decisions; result orientated
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with managers and employees across the organisation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate analytical thinking into business decisions and recommendations
- Strong time management skills: willing and able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure and manage priorities/expectations under challenging circumstances
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
- Reliable and dependable
This is initially a short term contract, however it may develop into a longer term role for the right person.
