Our client is a private equity backed, fast paced and dynamic business. Providing integrated mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation (ME&I) services to the global energy and infrastructure industries, this is a business which is transforming and growing at pace.
The Opportunity
- This key role will be responsible for defining standard R2R processes for the business, incorporating project accounting and revenue recognition, journal entry, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed asset accounting, consolidation, management and financial reporting.
- The role will contribute to the target operating model for Finance and the associated organisation design working with the Finance Transformation team.
- As the global Financial close process is being re-designed and rolled out, the successful candidate will work with finance transformation team, in country finance teams and Group Finance functions to continue to optimise the close, including defining reporting requirements to drive standardisation.
- The role holder will input into transition strategy, input into transition planning and execute transition phases associated with R2R as part of transition to the new operating model.
Background & Experience
- Experienced and qualified senior finance professional with finance process transformation experience in fast paced, private equity businesses
- Ability to be hands on as well as seeing the big picture, prepared to “roll sleeves up”
- Demonstrable experience defining and rolling out standard processes in multi-national organisations
- Experience mapping and accelerating the finance close process
- Target operating model and organisation design experience
- You will be familiar with continuous improvement approaches and be able to engage in all sizes of project
- You will be adept in finding ways to condense large amounts of information into a useful form as well as being assertive in driving actions
- This role requires someone who is experienced and comfortable working in a fast-paced Private Equity environment and in a hands-on manner. You must be able to engage with Finance personnel at all levels in addition to communicating to senior leadership, including the CFO.
