Planning Manager
Hutcheon Mearns are supporting a successful and exciting oil and gas operator to source a Planning Manager, initially on an interim basis. This company operates a high quality asset base with significant scope to grow production both organically and by extending asset life. They aim to be a leading producer in the UKCS.
The Opportunity
As the Planning Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction. They will lead the Planning team, ensuring effective coordination of planning cycles (including short term, Budget, and Life of Field views), data analysis, and business performance reviews, among other processes.
- The coordination and delivery of the Annual Plan Cycle and the in-year Forecast updates, through collation of updates, review of data and presentation of results
- Manage the Business Performance Review process, providing insight to business via the data and provide guidance on variance to Budget and Plan
- Support various department and processes, including regulatory data submission, reserves processes, any Business Development processes, and ad-hoc requests
- Provide leadership to the Planning team (five direct reports)
- Develop and maintain relationships across the organisation to ensure accurate view of the business is reflected in deliverables
Background and Experience
- Significant prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry, specifically within the Planning domain
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in Office 365 tools such as PowerPoint and Excel
