Payroll Specialist (US Hours)

Location: Glasgow– Hybrid (Training in-office, regular anchor day required)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:30pm – 11:00pm
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

This role provides the rare advantage of having your days free while working US hours, supporting the payroll operations for both UK and US employees.


The Role:

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls, maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation, and supporting the integration of the newly acquired US business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payrolls accurately and on time for both UK and US teams
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and legislative requirements (tax, NI, deductions, etc.)
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting
  • Support the transition and integration of the new US payroll function
  • Liaise with HR, Finance, and external providers as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll queries

About You:

  • Previous experience in payroll processing (multi-country experience advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work US hours (4:30pm – 11:00pm, Monday to Friday)
  • Willingness to attend training in-office and participate in regular anchor days
