Payroll Lead – Global Operations
Hybrid | Glasgow (2 Days Office / 3 Days Remote)
Market-Leading Benefits | Collaborative, People-First Culture

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Payroll Lead to take ownership of global payroll operations for one of our leading clients. This is a key position sitting at the intersection of finance, compliance, and employee experience — ensuring teams around the world are paid accurately, on time, and in line with local regulations.

Working within a core business function led by a highly respected and approachable leader, you’ll be supported in your professional growth and encouraged to continuously develop your skills as the organisation expands internationally.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end payroll process – deliver seamless monthly payrolls across the UK and international regions.

  • Coordinate with local providers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency globally.

  • Manage tax, pension, and statutory deductions, ensuring all filings and payments are on time.

  • Drive global alignment – maintain strong relationships with payroll partners across the EU, US, and APAC.

  • Champion compliance and accuracy, staying current with payroll legislation and supporting audits and year-end reporting.

  • Partner with Finance and HR – post payroll journals, reconcile accounts, and provide insights to support budgeting and planning.

  • Innovate and improve – identify opportunities for automation and smarter workflows, keeping systems efficient and scalable.

  • Lead and support – mentor junior team members, manage payroll through business change, and oversee adjustments for promotions, new hires, and leavers.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end payrolls

  • Exposure to international payroll operations and local compliance requirements (candidates who have UK experience and are keen to develop their global experience will also be considered)

  • Strong technical knowledge of payroll systems (e.g. Moorpay, ADP, Workday, Sage).

  • Confidence handling financial data, including journals and reconciliations.

  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.

You’ll be joining a forward-thinking, globally minded organisation that values people as much as performance. If you’re ready to shape the future of payroll in a dynamic, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
