Part Time Assistant Accountant

 

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be supporting an architectural and property business to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to work in a small, friendly team where you will take ownership of the sales and purchase ledgers, whilst also providing general accounts support.

This is a permanent position and will be based from our clients offices in Aberdeen City Centre. This role would suit someone looking for a part time accounts role within a small business.

The Opportunity

The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and processing sales and purchase ledgers
  • Reconciling bank statements on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Assisting with credit control, payroll and petty cash
  • Supporting with month-end routines and reconciliations
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data

Background and Experience

You will have previous experience in an Assistant Accountant role or similar. Strong ledger processing background in an SME environment would be advantageous to this role. You will work with a high level of accuracy, be confident using IT systems and be a self-starter.
