As the company continues to expand, it seeks a Group Financial Controller to manage the finance function, whilst working closely with the Finance Director to achieve the ambition of the Group.
Main Job Function
The Group Financial Controller (GFC) is responsible for managing the Group finance team, as well as informing and supporting commercial and operational areas of the organisation as required. They will be an experienced finance professional who is strong in corporate reporting and Group consolidation activities. T
his position plays a critical role within the organisation, supporting the Finance Director to manage the day-to-day activities of the finance team.
The successful candidate will be required to adopt a hands-on, proactive and collaborative approach to deliver efficiencies and procedural improvements where possible. The GFC will lead by example and will be required to mentor and develop junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Producing consolidated monthly management and annual accounts
- Managing the month end and year end close processes to deliver accurate, timely financial information and financial statements and advising on variances to budget for the review of the Finance Director
- Manage the annual financial budget/forecasting process and analysis presented to the Finance Director
- Management of the annual audit of the statutory companies
- Act as a business partner with key stakeholders across the Group to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Treasury Management inclusive of cash flow forecasting for the Group
- Review of Monthly Group Reporting packs / KPI reporting
- Overseeing and improving all financial processes and controls and working closely with the Digital team for system improvements
- Assist in the formulation in internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
- Working closely with the external tax provider to ensure tax compliance and reporting in order
- Overseeing the outsourced payroll function
- Continuously improve the performance and development of the Finance Team across all locations
