Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be recruiting, on an exclusive basis, for a FP&A Analyst – Operations & Stock. The role is situated in Lanarkshire and offers a competitive salary of up to £47,000 + benefits. Our client has undergone substantial growth of late, leading to an expansion of its commercial finance team. The Opportunity

The FP&A Analyst - Operations & Stock is a newly created role and will report directly to the Commercial Finance Lead. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing financial analysis and decision support to the operations teams and will report on stock and inventory as required. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Margin & Variance Analysis
  • Inventory ageing analysis and reporting
  • Supporting with the annual budget and forecasting cycles
  • Review of cycle counts
  • Inventory valuations
  • Slow moving/obsolete inventory strategy and reporting

Background and Experience

We are eager to engage with individuals possessing the following attributes:

  • Have experience working in financial analysis focused roles 
  • Have experience of working in manufacturing, FMCG, Food & Drinks or similar sectors 
  • Experience of stock/inventory management and/or reporting 
  • Advanced MS Excel and financial systems skills
  • Demonstrate a strong aptitude for analysis and problem-solving
  • Have excellent communication skills
