FP&A Analyst

This key position has the objective of enabling the strategic and dynamic growth of the business. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and other members of the senior team to ensure financial projections and models are aligned with the business plan and decisions are based on objective financial analysis. The role will deliver annual budget (and 5-year plan), quarterly reforecasts and ad hoc analyses focussed on improvement of internal performance and supporting the CFO’s management of new and existing capital providers. Modelling will reflect market context and operational performance so engagement with the wider business is important.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts within Excel from a wide range of internal and external data sources
  • Support business budget, forecast and 5-year plan preparation including appropriate consolidation
  • Manage DataRails to ensure automated reports can be produced in a timely manner
  • Create budget and forecast board presentation packs
  • Engage in month end reporting process to ensure that actual performance is captured in next reforecast
  • Support the tendering process as and when required
  • Analyse and communicate in a way that will establish a high level of credibility and establish strong working relationships with internal and external parties
  • Ensure annual budget and quarterly reforecast are robust and on time
  • Ensure modelling assumptions reflect business context – engagement with the business is a key part of the role
  • Present detailed models in a concise format which is easy for stakeholders to digest (dashboards/charts etc)
  • Provide insightful and proactive ad hoc analysis that helps the business improve performance – business acumen and professional curiosity required

The successful candidate will be a driven and motivated person who is keen to engage across the business and truly make a difference. You will have exceptional modelling skills and be able to apply complex financial models with business context. Your background will be either in Practice (TS, Corporate Finance) or an industry based analyst roe, or a mix of both!
