Hutcheon Mearns have engaged with our oil services client to hire a Financial Analyst on a full time, staff basis. You will work within the Treasury team in a varied role with great exposure to all areas of the business. This role will be based at our client’s office in Portlethen with hybrid working (50% home/50% office) and flexible hours. The Opportunity 

  • Assistance with any future refinancing work to include liaison with banks, advisors and lawyers
  • Bank communication, management of stakeholder expectations and commercial acumen
  • Assist with monitoring the group’s FX position across a wide range of currencies, with the objective of mitigating risk
  • Become part of the guarantees team and have overall ownership for monitoring requests in respect of new issuances
  • Maintain guarantees summary file for presentation at biweekly cash calls
  • Assist the Corporate Treasurer with due diligence on any specific Treasury related areas for any new opportunities e.g. bank accounts, guarantees, cash repatriation etc
  • Cash repatriation and funding routes require to be well established – strong links to the tax team
  • Provide analysis and review of existing operational banking structure
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to develop proposals for any potential migrations
  • Assist Corporate Treasurer with the presentation of any proposal summaries
  • Regular review and monitoring of interest rates
  • Assist the Corporate Treasurer with any ongoing project work
  • Work with internal stakeholders to aid implementation of any projects in practice
  • Assist with monitoring of overseas cash levels

Background and Experience

  • Newly Qualified Accountant OR experienced treasury professional
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • An ability to manage multiple workflows and projects at once
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • An openness to change and continuous improvement
  • Attention to detail and the ability to apply a wider commercial perspective and consider the impact of any decisions 
  • Good financial and numerical acumen
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
