An established specialist manufacturer based in Brechin is recruiting an experienced candidate to support the Financial Controller. The role will cover all aspects of day-to-day finance including providing accurate and timely financial, cost and management accounting information for statutory and business purposes. It is a highly autonomous role that requires high attention to detail and accuracy.
Duties will include:
- Weekly and monthly management and financial reports
- Process payroll on a weekly basis, supporting the monthly payroll as needed
- Prepare BACS payments for payroll and suppliers
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate cost accounting data and post inventory accounting entries at month-end
- Assist with internal and external audits and ensure that SOX procedures are followed
- Process and submit VAT returns
- Provide support for year-end accounts production process
Having previous experience in a similar finance role is essential for candidates to be considered, experience of manufacturing would be an advantage. In addition, you will have:
