Hutcheon Mearns Finance are delighted to be supporting a prestigious & long standing global business in their search for a new Finance Manager, based in Edinburgh. This is a key position in the group finance team, where you will provide full financial control of Multi-Million pounds of costs of the core functions and business partner with key stakeholders & senior leadership within the group. This role would be well-suited to candidates from a technically focussed external Audit background making their second industry move or currently working within a similar industry role.
About the Role:
- Manage month end and group reporting submissions
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts
- Prepare & carry out detailed preparation & analysis of forecast and budget
- Perform finance business support to senior budget owners
- Manage the accounting for group insurance policies and control over claim settlement payments
- Manage the recharging and allocation processes of costs to subsidiary businesses
- Review and approval of weekly payment runs
- Prepare and review weekly reports and cash flow forecast
- Monthly review of bank and other balance sheet reconciliations prepared by group
- Prepare group international transfer pricing submissions
- Lead liaison with external auditors in relation to a number of UK registered entities
- Responsible for the submission of timely and accurate regulatory returns, including UK VAT returns

About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience working within Financial Controls within a Global business hugely advantageous (internally/externally)
- Analytically minded and detail orientated individuals with a problem solving attitude
- External Audit experience working within Big 4 or Top 10 Accountancy Firm advantageous
- Experience business partnering with key stakeholders & budget holders
