Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by a Private Equity backed renewables business to source a Finance Manager on a full time, staff basis. This newly created role will be based in Kintore with flexible working. Our client is highly acquisitive and growing their presence in the offshore wind sector. This is a hands-on role where you will play a crucial role in preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting/forecasting, liaising with auditors and managing a small team. To be considered, you will be fully qualified with experience working in an SME environment. QBE Accountants will also be considered with relevant experience. Our client is offering an excellent salary and benefits package.
The Opportunity
- Produce division monthly management accounts, working with the entity finance teams within the Division
- Produce monthly divisional result pack for discussion with management within Business Unit reviews
- Develop good reporting procedures, working with entity Group Finance Manager and Finance Director
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for entities within Division with the support of the entity finance teams
- Support entity finance teams in their daily queries
- Assist in preparation of annual budget and reforecasting process for Division
- Investigate and report on financial factors influencing business performance
- Liaise with UK and overseas auditors and tax advisors to ensure individual annual financial statements submitted in line with respective in country deadlines, and assist with submissions required
Background and Experience
- Qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Industry experience preferable or client management account prep experience
- Experience of operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills

- Experienced communicator across the business, developing good working relationships within the team
- Good Excel skills
