In this management position, you will have responsibility for overseeing all day to day activities of the finance and head office support team to ensure sound financial management and deliver continuous improvements across key aspects of the business. You will ensure all financial, taxation and statutory compliance deadlines are met and be a key member of the management team, participating and contributing in monthly meetings.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual Management Accounts and Sales reports in a timely manner
  • Preparation for Annual financial audit including preparing supporting workpapers and dealing with auditor queries in a timely manner
  • Preparation of Annual Budget/ Reforecasts working with Management to define a realistically achievable position
  • Preparation of Monthly Cashflow Forecast
  • Preparation of Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Oversight of quarterly stock counts ensuring timely delivery of results and processing of adjusting journals
  • Preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE returns & Government Statistic returns
  • Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly payroll
  • Maintaining strong relationships with the Company bankers, insurance brokers and auditors
  • Oversee and co-ordinate third party IT, HR & HSE suppliers being the on-site person responsible for these functions

Applications are encouraged from candidates with a professional accounting qualification or experience at an equivalent level. Ideally you will have worked in an SME and have solid judgement, strong problem solving skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders across the business.
