Finance Business Partner

Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for a local employer of choice in Perthshire. This organisation offers hybrid working (2 days a week in office), flexibility and excellent terms and conditions. The role may suit a Qualified Accountant with strong commercial acumen and a keen interest in interacting with the business. You will join this organisation at a time where you can be involved in a number of interesting projects including a planned acquisition, systems implementation and business development projects.

The Opportunity

As a Finance Business Partner, your role will involve supporting key departmental stakeholders by preparing financial information for specific departments, giving financial advice for the business to achieve objectives.

Your role will include;

  • Preparing financial plans and budgets and reporting progress against these
  • Preparation of month-end analysis for Board pack reporting
  • Revenue reporting, Opex and Capex forecasting
  • Hold regular budget holder meetings, providing insight and challenge to managers to drive improved business results
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and support the Group to continually develop and enhance management information
  • Support external audit requests
  • Assisting in producing business cases and Return on Investment analysis

You will play a highly interactive role and will pro-actively seek to improve reporting systems and processes and drive efficiencies within the team.

Background and Experience

You will be a Qualified (CIMA / CA / ACCA) Accountant with previous experience in a management accounting, finance business partnering or analytical finance role. You will have a proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders and departments and have excellent communication skills. Strong analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate financial information to non-finance managers. You will have strong Microsoft Excel skills and have a pro-active mindset when it comes to seeking efficiencies.
