Finance Assistant (Temp to Perm)

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be supporting our client to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team in Altens. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong purchase ledger knowledge to step straight into a key role within their Finance function. This role is being offered initially on a temporary basis with the view to become permanent in due course.

The Opportunity

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing purchase invoices (PO and Non-PO) and obtaining approvals
  • Posting and reconciling company credit cards and staff expenses
  • Posting daily banking transactions and preparing payment runs
  • Setting up bank payments and assisting with reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end close processes and reporting
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Ad hoc support to the Finance Manager

Background and Experience

You will be an outgoing and communicative self starter who can demonstrate:

  • Proven purchase ledger experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with credit cards, expenses, and banking transactions
  • Strong Excel and administration skills
