Hutcheon Mearns is pleased to announce its engagement with a distinguished business for the position of Credit Controller. The role is situated in Falkirk and offers a competitive salary depending on experience.

Position Overview

This position will directly report to the Senior Management Team (SMT) and will take ownership of their individual ledger. The ideal candidate will be responsible for actively reducing aged-debt, building a rapport with debtors and chasing debt via phone or email.

Duties will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Hands on with reducing outstanding debt
  • Credit checking new accounts
  • Setting credit limits for approval
  • Chasing debt via phone or email
  • Managing any queries
  • Sending out invoices or statements
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Person Profile

To be considered for the role, you will:

  • Experienced in owning a large ledger
  • Proven history of reducing age-debt
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vLookups and Pivot Tables
  • Previous experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, etc.
