Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to be engaged by a well-known business to appoint a Credit Control Manager based in Glasgow that offers a competitive salary (available upon request) plus benefits.

Position Overview

This position will directly report to the Financial Manager and will take lead of a team of credit controllers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for actively reducing aged-debt, active development of team, process improvement, reporting on the company cash flow.

Duties will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Hands on with reducing outstanding debt
  • Managing and leading a team of credit controllers
  • Developing and improving SOP’s
  • Managing and upskilling current credit controllers
  • Reporting on the company cashflow
  • Producing age-debt reports
  • Approving credit limits
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Person Profile

To be considered for the role, you will:

  • Experienced leading a credit control function
  • Proven history of reducing age-debt
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vLookups and Pivot Tables
  • Previous experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, etc.
