Hutcheon Mearns are partnered with a successful oil and gas operator to source an experienced Cost Accountant to join their professional and busy team. This opportunity is offered on a contract basis and duties will include the following:
- Maintain cost tracking data, provide regular cost reporting updates and administer detailed budget/forecasts to the incumbent budget holder(s)
- Works with budget holders to prepare business plans, Value of Work Done, and forecasts
- Track commitments and invoices against activities
- Invoice verification
- Prepare variance and trend analysis as required
- Collaborates with key stakeholders including budget owners, contract owners and accountants
- Undertake various reconciliations
- Provide support to master data and reporting structure requirements
- Provide ad-hoc cost analysis and management presentations as required
The successful candidate will have relevant upstream E&P experience within a similar role. Ideally you will be degree qualified although this is not essential if you have the requisite experience. You must have exceptional communication skills to assume responsibility as the main interface between Operations and Finance functions. To apply, please submit your CV for review.
