Corporate Finance Manager

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be supporting a leading marine infrastructure support company to recruit an experienced finance professional into the role of Corporate Finance Manager. Working from a desirable West end office location, the successful candidate will work directly with the CFO and the Head of FP&A with exposure to the wider executive Leadership Team.

The role will manage lender and shareholder information requirements, including detailed financial modelling and cash management, in addition to supporting long term business planning for newbuild capex approvals and M&A.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership of financial models for management of investor relationships and long-term forecasting for shareholder / strategic planning
  • Financial modelling to support newbuild capex decisions and SOV tendering activities
  • Production of information for lenders, administration of complex loan agreements
  • Banking covenant monitoring and management
  • Cash flow forecasting, cash management
  • Assistance in management of relationships with lenders, legal advisers, and other corporate stakeholders
  • Assistance in budgeting, longer term forecast preparation
  • Preparation of financial performance summaries for lender and Board reporting
  • Support of strategic planning through financial and market analysis
  • Supporting any M&A activity of the Group
  • Presentation of analysis to senior management team
  • Any other tasks as required by the Directors

Applications are sought from individuals with the following experiences and attributes:

  • Preferably professional qualification in finance, accountancy, business management or equivalent
  • Excellent financial modelling skills, excel analysis
  • Experience of corporate finance, investor relations or transaction services  
  • Strategic thinking
  • Well organised, efficient individual that is able to drive progress using own initiative
  • Capable of presenting data sets in clear manner
  • Strong commercial intuition
  • Requirement to maintain confidentiality
  • PowerPoint proficient

Your background could be in banking, debt advisory or structured finance. Alternatively, applicants from an industry based finance background will be considered if they have exposure to complex banking arrangements. Applicants from Corporate Finance or Transaction Services are also encouraged.
