Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be working with a dynamic business in Fife to recruit for a Bookkeeper position. This is a thriving £30m turnover business with strong relationships with major supply chain partners dealing with an all-year-round operation. The full-time, permanent position will be focussing on the day to day transactional functions of the company. Working underneath the general manager, working together in office to build a high performance finance function. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive and family-orientated environment.
The Opportunity:
- Running the day-to-day purchase ledger function
- Processing returns, and checking against GCN's (goods consignment notes)
- Raising disputes where appropriate to resolve issues
- Processing payments
- Calculating prices for clients based on varying prices
- Reconciling haulage invoices to GCN's
- Ensuring financial transactions, records and statements are accurate and up to date
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Competence in Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience of Finance Systems particularly SAGE
- Qualifications : HNC/HND or Degree in Accountancy
- Previous experience in food production or FMCG Sector is highly advantageous
