Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a varied client portfolio, including charity and audit clients, working with the rest of the engagement team to deliver high-quality support and advice
  • Providing the best service possible to portfolio clients
  • Monitoring workloads to ensure targets are met
  • Delegating assignments to those in your team to ensure client expectation are achieved
  • Collaborating at all levels, from Partner to Trainee
  • Motivating, training and developing staff, and monitoring their performance
  • Taking an active role in business development activities, attending various networking events on behalf of the firm, developing and maintaining relationships with intermediaries and assisting Partners with client recruitment

Required Experience:

  • ACCA/CA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Managerial experience in general practice
  • Technically competent in accountancy, audit, and tax compliance, with business advisory skills and experience of working with charities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and people skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively and prioritise work
  • Exposure to working in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth charitable experience (desirable)
  • Technically competent in tax planning (desirable)
  • External audit experience gained in a practice environment (desirable)
  • Experience in the management of audits – planning, supervision, review (desirable)
