Assistant Accountant - Maternity Cover

Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged to source an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the finance team at a global oil and gas company in Aberdeen. This role is offered on a contract basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in month end reporting, reconciliation of multiple bank accounts, processing monthly CIS returns, revaluation of trade payables and trade receivables and in assisting with year end disclosures and audit queries.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a busy finance team and be comfortable working to tight deadlines. Applicants must possess good time management skills and perform their work with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong Excel skills are also required.
