Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to exclusively support a growing business to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a full-time staff basis. The role will be based from our clients’ offices in Westhill, Aberdeen. Our client can offer an excellent salary, hybrid working, flexibility around hours and an amazing benefits package.

This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Accountant who is currently studying and looking to take their next step in an exciting business. The successful candidate will be hardworking, driven, and keen to progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with preparation of monthly and annual management accounts
  • P&L, balance sheet analysis
  • Quarterly VAT submissions through MTD
  • Project accounting – posting accruals and deferrals
  • Cashbook management

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of three years finance experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • SAGE 200 experience beneficial but not essential
  • Experience with payroll beneficial
  • Part qualified applicants will be supported through professional exams
