Our client is backed by a leading private equity investor with a focus on the European offshore energy industry. With an ambitious growth strategy, this company aims to be a top 5 producer in the next three years.

We are delighted to be working with this forward looking business to source a an Asset Accounting and Performance Manager. Working as part of their growing finance team your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Providing leadership, direction, and supervision to a team of asset accountants and costs analysts
  • Support the monthly workday5 performance ‘flash’ reports and workday9 consolidated P&L, cashflow & balance sheet reports providing insightful commentary for leadership comparing actuals and in year budgets
  • Managing and responsibility for the gross JV accounting ledgers including cut-back, reporting and budgeting
  • Ensuring production of detailed monthly asset performance & cost information
  • Preparing, issuing, and managing of operated asset JV billings
  • Attending and presenting at OCMs and other meetings
  • Managing non-operated JV billing review against budgets/forecasts
  • Managing asset AFEs and monitoring against actuals/forecasts
  • Reconciliations of balance sheet for all gross and net asset-related balances (currently includes managing revenue accounting and invoicing)
  • Responsibility for the commentary on the asset results for leadership comparing actuals/in year budgets
  • Engaging with business planning team supporting full year and outer year forecasting and planning
  • Support the annual statutory accounting process as required by the corporate controller and CFO
  • Leading process improvements for all asset accounting processes and lead on the 2021 finance acceleration project

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with a strong technical and managerial background with previous oil and gas accounting experience. You will enjoy working in a fast paced, growth orientated business. Furthermore, you will be a self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables.
