Accounts Payable Assistant

Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to partner with our client in the search for their new Accounts Payable Assistant based in Edinburgh. This role will be looking after the End-to-end Accounts Payable process whilst dealing with both GBP and international currencies.

The Opportunity

Our client has began expanding onto the Global market after their success within the United Kingdom. This success has been down to a few key factors, one being the people-centric approach they have to both clients and employees, allowing them to retain their high calibre employees. Within this role you’ll be involved in but not limited to;

  • Preparing invoices
  • Reconciling company accounts, including credit cards and expenses
  • Processing payment runs (International & Domestic)
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Answering any queries
  • Supporting with month-end duties
  • Bank reconciliations

Background and Experience
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an office environment, particularly within an Accounts Payable role. Having experience within the international accounts payable duties is not required but would be advantageous. Proficiency in Excel and finance systems is essential.
