Accounts Assistant

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be exclusively supporting our client in recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team in Bridge of Don. This is a permanent role, and full time and part time candidates will be considered.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years of experience in a finance or accounting role who is keen to develop their career and gain exposure across a broad range of accounts duties.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll be involved in:

  • Processing purchase invoices and managing invoice approvals
  • Vendor statement reconciliations and handling supplier queries
  • Assisting with purchase orders and expense processing
  • Supporting bank reconciliations and cash posting
  • Helping with credit control and sales invoice preparation
  • General finance administration and support across the team

Background and Experience

  • You’ll have around 1–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounts role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • A proactive, organised approach and a willingness to learn
  • Sage experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential
