Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to support our client in recruiting an Accounts Assistant. Based in Edinburgh, this role offers a salary of £28,000 to £30,000 and a hybrid working pattern.
The Opportunity
Our client operates across the United Kingdom and is currently going through a period of growth. They have achieved this remarkable growth from acquisitions as well as organically and they aren’t slowing down in 2025 with big plans in place.
- Processing purchase invoices
- Managing weekly payment runs (both domestic and international)
- Maintaining the finance mailbox
- Addressing and resolving queries
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Handling intercompany transactions
- Conducting credit card reconciliations
Background and Experience
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Accounts Assistant, with a solid understanding of the Accounts Payable function and familiarity with bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions. Key personal qualifications include:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with Xero systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including vLookup and Pivot Tables)
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
