Hutcheon Mearns are supporting a fast-growing mid-tier firm to source an Accounts & Business Advisory Services Assistant to join their Aberdeen team. The office has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with staff taking pride in providing an expert personal service to their local client base. The team are now looking to expand further due to ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client bookkeeping / record keeping
  • Accounts preparation (predominately FRS 102)
  • Tax computation preparation
  • VAT returns
  • Act as a business advisor to a diverse client base of family owned / SME businesses

For this role, you will already have some experience working in a similar position within an accountancy firm. In terms of qualifications, the firm are happy to consider candidates that are studying towards their ACCA, CA or AAT qualification, however they are also flexible and welcome applications from candidates that have not or are not actively studying towards an accountancy qualification but do have strong experience working within practice.
