Hutcheon Mearns are recruiting an experienced Finance Manager for a major employer in the oil and gas sector. A member of the senior team in Arbroath, this role will be responsible for the finance function and will contribute to the overall management of this busy manufacturing site.
Supervising a small team responsible for :
- Preparation, review, and accuracy of finance and accounting activities, including end of month close, preparing forecasts, annual business plans and business analysis,
- Advising non-finance management on key financial issues and financial performance
- Participating in strategic business decision making, providing relevant financial models to assist this process.
- Ongoing process improvements.
Candidates will be fully qualified CA, ACCA, CIMA, ideally from a manufacturing or robust industry background. Strong IT skills, experience of SAP and Hyperion, would be an advantage. Proven experience in general accounting, financial analysis, statutory reporting and forecasting. Ability to manage internal controls, mitigate risk and ensure adherence to company policy.
